What began in 1981 as a small outpatient clinic in Ozone Park, NY has evolved to its current status as a multi-faceted, multi-disciplinary, independent, nonprofit agency serving the entire New York area. Today, New Horizon Counseling Center is widely acknowledged as one of the premier agencies in the community – one which provides quality services to adults, children, and families in the communities we serve. New Horizon understands the necessity of community outreach and strong partnerships.
New Horizon Counseling Center provides vital behavioral health services that empower individuals and strengthens communities. Our purpose is to help troubled children, teens, transitional aged youth, adults, and families reach their full potential of becoming caring, responsible individuals. Our basic philosophy is that early intervention and guidance as well as a comprehensive approach addressing the whole family can prevent serious future problems for the individuals and for the entire community. Our professional staff of psychiatrists, licensed psychologists, clinical social workers, marriage and family therapists and interns, provide a reliable safety net for the people of New York.
