Day Treatment Program

The Day Treatment Program provides active treatment designed to
1) maintain and enhance optimal levels of functioning and social skills,
2) Develop interests and skills in vocational and educational goals,
3) promote community living and self-esteem through the exploration and development of recipient strengths and interests.

Group interaction, rehabilitation, and case management support can provide recipients with simulated and actual, non-threatening community exposure. Recipients can learn to effectively budget, shop, and work, by utilizing the agency’s member-run General Store, Thrift Shop, and Concession Areas. Learning and strengthening skills and confidence can allow a more successful exploration of resources within the community, such as vocational programs, job placement, independent housing, education, recreational facilities, public parks, libraries, and community centers.

Recipients are encouraged to explore their needs and develop their own goals and objectives. With the support of the staff and peers, goal achievement can be reached.
